Abdus Salam, who now serves as a Survivor Empowerment Officer at Humanity Research Consultancy (HRC), a UK-based social enterprise dedicated to rescuing victims trapped in Cambodia, has called out the inhumane response from embassies. Salam, reflecting on his own experience, stated, "In my case, the embassy did not even bother replying to emails from the Gaso. But this is a life and death situation for the victims." He emphasized that many desperate for help would respond within a day if the government took action.
HRC continues to advocate for greater governmental support and urgent intervention to address the plight of cyber slavery victims.
