HRC presents our second briefing on the crime of cyber slavery in the scamming compounds.

This briefing shares our latest analysis and suggestions on addressing this ever-growing form of modern slavery. We discuss the wide profile of victims being trafficked into the compounds, the important role embassies play in the successful exit of victims, the notion of forced criminality, and how authorities should be acting in line with the relevant policies surrounding victims of modern slavery.

A stronger global focus is needed on this issue in order to generate affirmative action from the UN bodies, national governments, non-government organisations, and human rights activists.
