Impact Report 2021-22
We are proud to present our 2021-22 Impact Report highlighting the progress and impact HRC has made this past year!
Our team has worked hard this year, delivering on numerous different projects and publishing over ten reports and briefings in collaboration with organisations such as Oxfam, Winrock International, Plan International and Global Labor Justice-International Labor Rights Forum. We also partnered with a global cosmetic giant to design and conduct remediation and prevention plans with its suppliers in Taiwan with regard to the company’s code of conduct for labour and human rights across its supply chain.
Our projects have covered a variety of issues, such as the impact of COVID-19 on trafficking and child labour, supply chain mapping for commercial fishing vessels, as well as working to promote Wi-Fi onboard distant water fishing vessels. This year we also launched our first online workshop empowering Taiwanese employers of domestic migrant workers. In addition, we have worked tirelessly as one of the key responders to the unprecedented crime of modern slavery in cyber scamming compounds, facilitating rescues, advocating governments and providing survivor reintegration support.
The road ahead is still long, but as we head into 2023, we are proud of the steps we have taken towards a world free from slavery.
